Tristan: An orphan raised by monks who catches the eye of one of the Knights Templars. He is then brought on an adventure and eventually has to deliver the holy grail to England.


Sir Thomas: A respected knight who takes tristan to be his squire and entrusts him with the holy grail.


Robard: On Tristan's journey to england he meets Robard the archer in the woods who helps tristan get where he is going. He was one of the kings archers who was on his way back to the main city.


Maryam: A muslim assassin that instead of killing tristan, joins him and Robard on their journey back to England. She has a life debt to Tristan because he took an arrow out of her shoulder.


Sir Hugh: A lying and cowardly knight who betrayed the templars and tried to kill Tristan. He fled from the battle that most likely killed Sir Thomas.


Main Conflict: SIr Thomas and Tristan go to Outremer, a place where the main battle for the holy land is taking place. The battle goes well at first but as the tides turn they Templars are forced to take refuge in a nearby city. They start losing so Sir Thomas trusts Tristan to take the Holy Grail to england where it would be safe. On the way Tristan meets Robard and Maryam and they help him. Sir Hugh tries to kill Tristan and take the Grail for himself.

-This quote is relevant because the Monks at this time period were focused on honoring God instead of themselves.


“Yes, my lord,”
-This is relevant because the amount of respect for the king was present. The respect was also present because whatever class a person was born into they had to stay there.


“These were the vessels that would carry us to the Holy Land.”

-This is relevant because the christians at the time were trying to reclaim the Holy Land because it was important to them.
